Many of us, missed you last weekend!
Ditto, Ross, what about ' 07?
i have been having an argument in this thread, which originally was about the trinity (oh no, not again.... http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/10/121719/1.ashx.
...with mondo1, about what the text in revelation 1.17 means.
i don`t want this thread to turn into another trinity-thread, let`s just keep it to the phrase "the first and the last", and revelation, and jesus` status in this text.

The Bible is very clear in that what Christ had he "emptied himself" of, so no I do not believe he had a dual nature. Not in the Trinitarian sense of it anyway.
So here you have Christ no longer residing in heaven, and now residing in a human form. So what will you say came down from heaven and took residence in Marys womb?

mondo1: The form of God seems to refer to Christ's outward appearance as God, as his agent.
Would you agree thats who Isaiah saw on the throne? (Christ)

I overlooked it.
Very well,
He was changed from the form of God to the form of a servant, becoming flesh. (Phil. 2:6-7; Joh. 1:14).
I realize this is what you mean, however can you expound on the texts you provided?
He was the same person because he was still himself, his form just changed.
Its safe to state you believe his previous form was that of a "lesser" God, that later would reside in the form of a human without losing any part of his true nature? So your Christ has a dual nature [g]od/man.
ok, lets have a discussion about where we all came from, evolution or creation?
(or whatever you beleive in of course) every one put down there main reasons, along with reasonable facts and backup as to why.. .
hopefully this doesnt start to many arguments, lol.. .
ew: Even if you hold a mystic position or mystisism, are you not curious of a start?
The word 'of' in that sentence is an unusual construction. Could you explain how you mean that phrase? Maybe my fuzziness in understanding is because english is not my first language.
Seems like you have a better hold on my primary language than I do. Maybe if I asked you in another way. What is the start of your origins?

Satanus,
No Mexican standoff intended.
The unanswered question standoff. Explain your question, first.
Not sure of where your coming from, anyway, Even if you hold a mystic position or mystisism, are you not curious of a start?
EW
since the new tract tells us "the end of false religion is near!
", jehovah's witnesses maintain that they alone are the only true religion.
how would you dispute that??
Minimus,
We have a common acquaitance, At the conference this weekend, not that I really know you.

You'll admit your origins do require a start. And where does that leave you?How do you mean that? I'm sort of a mystic.
S
How do I mean what?

For Jesus, he remained who he was, but what he was changed. He was the same person, with a new type of existence.
Mondo
When you state Jesus was changed, changed from what to what? When you say he was the same person with a new existence how do you work this out?
i live in memphis.
months ago, i had some jw's come by and talk with me.
i'm a believer in the holy bible.
Mondo1 states:
Of course you are, because you are 100% theologically biased and you don't know any better.
Perhaps you have some special revelations we're not privey to.
