i was doing a little modification on a dress, and i had some straight pins holding it together.
i had to try it on of course, and when i went to take it off i forgot about the straight pins.
oh OUCH girl!! My sister in law was making a bedspread and managed to run her index finger UNDER the moving needle and it went all the way through her nail to the other side of her finger.
Damn near put her into shock. We sat in the ER for almost 2 hours before anybody saw her too... "because she wasnt bleeding" geeeeeeeeeeeez.

Well the good news in this Mouthy is that even if the kids get forced to be involved in it, and get baptized and...decide they dont like it...they wont ever be shunned or have to shun...their loved ones.
Their father was all about embracing everybody and their differences so hopefully that part of him will live on.

The other way of looking at this is like the Iraq war. If we suddenly pulled out and the whole thing collapsed...all those kids who died would have died in vain. But if we stay....MORE will die in vain in an unwinable war.
Same with the WTS. But I do think its demise far outweighs its staying around in terms of positives.

Oh some GOOD NEWS for a change!! We know we all had that crisis of conscience and we think its impossible for it to happen to those we love who are so deeply ensconced. But WE all changed our hearts and as for me...I was a stubborn as a mule where my TRUTH was concerned. So it CAN BE DONE!

this past week the jw in-laws came up from florida to visit .
when they lived here we were very close ,i thought , but of course we were still active then too .
Yeah it gets NAUSEATINGLY old. When I had my daughters graduation party last month, ALL the JWs stuck together like June bugs around a porch light. And I heard my VERY INACTIVE husband saying things like "Yeah I remember one time when we were out in service...." and "Didnt you appreciate the first day of the convention this year when they..." I seriously almost hurled.
Its all they know. Its a la la la la land.
