yeah i didnt really have a bad childhood, we were always going on holidays, having bbq's etc it wasnt till i was older and wanted to do things and wernt allowed, or wasnt allowed to make any decisions that i hated.

I feel the freedom of choice never existed

We (myself and my 3 siblings) were raised as JWs. Not that I wouldn't change a lot of things (mostly the JW stuff), but, with the exception of the sporadic spanking for not giving witness at school and having to cope with feeling like a freakaziod, I had a pretty nice childhood. Our parents tried very hard to make sure that we were a close-knit family. I applaud their efforts. We were sheltered and our world was very small, but they did the best they knew how.

I had a sad childhood..........with some bright spots........

Frankly, finding the JWs was a relief.

    I liked reading Candidlynuts childhood!!!

    Sweet memories.

It was ok, could have been better, maybe if my parents werent jws but that's over and done with now. At least my kids wont have to grow up that way.
