Watchtower are members of a "Blood Group"? We need to investigate!

  I have a question regarding the ajwrb.org site and it's concept: How would one go about reforming a doctrine that was supposedly a dictate straight from the mouth of Jehovah God? And if one were to answer that, well, it was a mis-interpretation, doesn't this call into question the assumed infallibility of the divinely inspired "Faithful & Discreet Slave"?

  (I agree that the argument stated in the initial post, comparing this to the attachment to the UN as NGO to be weak and a misdirection.)

  It does call into question the infallibility.......but when has that stopped the WT from changing its mind?

  All they'd have to say is that members were guilty of taking their "old light" too seriously, that it's ALWAYS been a conscience matter...

  Taking "old light" too seriously? Doesn't make sense. So how seriously should one take "new light" then? Is it only the word of Jehovah God until they decide otherwise? Obviously.

  Well, the latest talk at the hall is that the disgruntled people who took the 1975 date too seriously didn't show proper humility when the FDS reversed the light.

  I think jgnat is saying that's what the WTS has claimed in situations like this, not what she personally believes.

  I was absolutely prohibited from taking blood fractions in the '70s because the local elders said it was not allowed. Yet the litter-ature at the time said it was a conscience matter. I almost died many times. "Conscience matter" is really a buzzword for "it's up to the discretion of the local elders who will DF you for stumbling others if you do something they don't like".
