The Israelites used a lunar calendar. You do realize that both of those things tend to happen clustered together always because math and geometry, right? Not because Jesus?
That's the WHOLE point. The four eclipses happen on key Jewish festival days! A rare eclipse pattern that happen on specific Jewish holidays. That's what the fuss is about -- not just any eclipses.
