I am all for Prohibition.
Obviously people are such morons they can't decide for themselves, so just outlaw it. Of course, people will still go on wanting it, and vast illegal syndicates will build up and get rich on the profits of supplying contraband. The law enforers will divide into two camps; those that take a cut and look the other way, and those who see that the massive funding they get to enfore prohibiton gives them tenure, even if the job they are doing does nothing to change the level of contraband reaching consumers.
Oh, hold on... we did that in the 20's and 30's with alcohol, and have been doing that with other drugs for decades, and that's exactly what happens, no, Prohibition is a dumb idea, just control the supply, don't try to stop it....
Adverts? Ooo, Bert saw an advert for Monkey Juice and drank 12 bottles and drove a car and killed someone, therefore we ban advertising? How about we ban Bert instead and stop making pointless laws?
