Better Late Than Never

I just wanted to say thanks to all the wonderful friends who came to the 1st Annual Apostacheesebeerfest and were so good-natured to put up with less than desireable conditions (to say the least)! All the food and liquid refreshments you brought, along with so many great senses of humor, were greatly appreciated by myself and Gary.

I apologize to everyone for being less than the "hostest with the mostest". I guess I just got myself worn out that week, was nervous about a knee scope I had last Wed. and then with the foul weather...I think I had a minor nervous breakdown!! But it was totally needless because of the great group of people who assembled at my humble abode and made the best out of the situation.

I don't think in my whole life I have ever met such a giving group of people as I have on this forum and those that I actually got to meet face to face at the apostafest. You have gone through hell and high water (literally almost) and shine as loving, intelligent and wise individuals. What a total difference from the people I used to count as friends whilst a JW!!

I hope to have another apostafest next year...make it simple with pizza & beer & soda, have it in October...and then I'll be able to get a better grip on myself. I regret not being able to talk with people much and missed out on so many good conversations, stories and laughter. But I hold you all in my heart and will never forget that I truly do have FRIENDS who don't care if there's no electricity or running water or flush toilets.

A huge hug and big sloppy kisses...cathy l.

What is the difference between a apostafest and a witness "gathering" besides maybe a bit of swearing.!

It cant be the excess drinking, talking about the "truth" and generally saying "what happened to so and so"

Please tell us who would like to come to one but havent yet

You can take this apology and...

No need, I thought it was incredible. The fact that we had somehting like the power going out made it that much more awesome, especially at night when all the candles were lit and everyone was just milling around in the dark.

The 'fest helped me so much at a time I needed it very badly. Don't ever apologize about anything having to do with that event...it gave me so much hope when I had none.

Thank you so much for everything you did.

I didn't see any excessive drinking, and not much at all "what happended to so and so". But to actaully realize you are not as alone as you thought you were...you can't put a price on it.

Ahhhhhhhhh...wander...that makes me cry. You're such a sweetie and cutie that I just wanted to throw my arms around you and give you big hugs all day...but being an old married woman...I refrained.

There are so many good things for you in the future wander...I just know it. Thanks for the kind words...I feel better already!

    Big Hug...cathy l.

Now Now mumzy! You definately have friends! Your so lovable, how could you not! And I didnt mind going and grabbing a few buckets of water out of the kitty pool to FLUSH! Who cares! Its better than going in an out house! LMAO. You and Gary were great hosts! I felt so uncomfortable walking in the door, and realized it was stupid, cause you made me feel right at home, along with every one else! Your kids, brooke, and everyone who attended. So look back, smile, and remember it was a success, no matter what! I love ya hun!
