another thought i had, is that radical life extension would still allow naturally, for scientific and intellectual progress. i mean, the scientists may not be radical 33 year old geniuses, but they would still be uncovering new knowledge. and any immortal tyrants that didn't want to change, would have to deal with populations of people who did want to change based on new knowledge. kind of like now, in a microcosm sort of way.

and any immortal tyrants that didn't want to change, would have to deal with populations of people who did want to change based on new knowledge.

To an extent, that is solved now when an old tyrant dies. How would it be settled w a long living tyrant? War? Revolution? Of course, the tyrant would try to head off opposition, using his accumulated knowledge to do that. Would he use draconian methods, close survillance, fake wars/causes for the rebels to blow off steam?

A good scientist would be more able to do more, it takes so much years to learn until you are at the current understanding now.

In many cases that is true, perhaps where analytical skills are needed. As far as creativity and thinking outside of the box, they seem to peak before old age sets in. In their latter yrs, often scientists and researchers are coasting on previous accomplishments, or finessing the details, or in management. 'Couse, it's not always true.

Yes that is true. Well sometimes. Lot of scientist do the best discoveries when they are young. Some don't also. it depends.

So much would change. So many good things also. People would be a lot more concerend about the future, and would have more drive to keep the ecology good and clean.
It would definitly change a lot of thinking about crime, taking risks (more to lose in a accident) and many more things. Some of these would give an extra drive, some would limit things.
