Where can I read the history of the WTBS? Russell, Rutheford, etc....

    www.jwfiles.com (used to be "Shaun's research on Jehovah's witnesses).

    It's a good quick reference site, with lots of info that you can use.

    If you use a search engine like Google you can find lots of things about them on the "apostate" and other websites, use key words like "Charles Taze Russell" "Russell pyramids" and "Joseph Rutherford Watchtower".

    Most of them are objective but you judge this as you gather the info from different sources.

    Agreed - 'Apocalypse Delayed' - can't remember Jim Penton's exact pedigree - but I think he is a professor of religious history. The book is not a smear job at all - but it will open your eyes.

    Go to your local university library, and read up in the reference section of books containing details of new religions. These generally paint bare facts, and written in an objective, non-bias manner. frog
