Not me. The teachings were depressing and the unwritten have to be happy and smile policy made me depressed.
But felt some real love and compassion from some of the whitmesses, but mostly conditional only.

There were some really caring people in the congo but very few, about 5 or 6 out of about 80. The rest were very cold even frozen fruitcakes.
The top people could not inspire love because they have none and the R & F imitate their example.
Speaking of fixed grins, there was this woman in our cong who used to sit at every meeting with some kind of beatific smile on her face like she had just seen God and he'd told her a pretty swell secret. She used to have her face uplifted, as if to heaven. It would have been very moving to see, if she hadnt had a big wart on her chin with three quite long hairs growing out of it.
If any of you saw the original Stepford Wives movie, that's what it reminds me of.
