crazyblondeb--I wish I could have seen their sourpuss faces when they were thrown out of the hospital! They are so nutty! And why are they always in other people's business, even something that is a conscience matter!

so, according to a JW (if they were honest), getting the average organ transplant would be like downing a tea spoon or two of someone else's blood? eck! double-think!

The look on their face was priceless! Of course, it kinda slipped that I had spent many years in their world. My supervisor knew what was going on and when they tried to get me in trouble they were told not to be seen in the ICU again. With their plastic suites on they just looked at security like they were above it. The parents were so thankful that it was taken out of their hands!

The only thing that tops that was 6 years ago, I had a JW 4 yr old with luekemia. She needed blood to live, no question. The young couple was overrun with elders telling them what they could and couldn't do. After explaining how in the past, parents were encouraged to take the child and run. Of course, I couldn't keep my mouth shut. (Imagine that!) The parents only wanted whatever it would take to save their child. I spoke with the doctor, who got the legal department on it. Three hours later the hospital had guardianship. The mother thanked me later. But we had to get security to be outside the room for several days to keep all the elders away that were there, trying to make trouble for the young parents. The elders tried to get me and the doctor in trouble. Of course, that got them no where except for looking like fools who didn't care if the child lived or died. They really made asses out of themselves.

I believe that the current JW stand is that the attending physician has to wring out the organ like one would a wet wash-rag before "installing" it. Of course it may not work anymore after such brutal treatment, but that's the price you pay for obedience to Jehoobers commandments...

This moronic belief almost killed my daughter and I 21 years ago. With the amount of blood I lost it is truly amazing that either of us survived...

What was great was calling security and having them escorted from the hospital.

I'm just waiting for the chance to do that too!
