I was looking at my winamp playlist and I noticed that most of my songs were made before I was in grade school, or much more, before I was born.

Moody Blues - Nights in White Satin

    Gene Loves Jezebel - Desire

Berlin - Take My Breath Away

Moody Blues - Departure/Ride My See Saw

Lee Winwood - Some Velvet Morning

Eric Clapton - Layla (Not the crappy unpluged version, the version that rocks)

    Marvin Gaye - Sexual Healing

    Bauhaus - She's In Parties

    Sisters of Mercy - More

    Righteous Borthers - Unchained Melody

Some of those songs, I'm just listening to so I can learn how to either sing them or play them, so I can impress a lady friend of mine, but the others, I can embarrassingly say I like (And I'm not going to mention which ones either.)

hadenuf - I agree with that one!

How about Sinatra "Mac the knife"

Most of the ones listed I love - but [age tells] I was older than grade school when they came out

Just what makes that little old ant
Think he'll move that rubber tree plant
    Anyone knows an ant, can't
    Move a rubber tree plant

But he's got high hopes, he's got high hopes
He's got high apple pie, in the sky hopes

So any time your gettin' low
    'Stead of lettin' go
    Just remember that ant
Oops there goes another rubber tree
Oops there goes another rubber tree plant

When troubles call, and your back's to the wall
There a lot to be learned, that wall could fall

Once there was a silly old ram
Thought he'd punch a hole in a dam
No one could make that ram, scram
    He kept buttin' that dam

But he had high hopes, he's got high hopes
He had high apple pie, in the sky hopes

So any time your feelin' bad
    'Stead of feelin' sad
    Just remember that ram
Oops there goes a billion kilowatt
Oops there goes a billion kilowatt dam

I know a ditty nutty as a fruitcake
Goofy as a goon and silly as a loon
    Some call it pretty,
    others call it crazy
But they all sing this tune:

    Mairzy doats and dozy doats
    And liddle lamzy divey
A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you?
Yes! Mairzy doats and dozy doats
    and liddle lamzy divey
A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you?

    If the words sound queer
    And funny to your ear,
A little bit jumbled and jivey
    Sing "Mares eat oats
    And does eat oats
    And little lambs eat ivy"

Oh! Mairzy doats and dozy doats
    And liddle lamzy divey
A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you?
