The big bang accident has never been proven either . I think humans are guilty for most of the suffering in the world . God does promise great things for those that obey his word . A better world for one and eternal life after resurrection or for some never knowing death at all . So let's not just look at the bad things here , try a little optimism .

True, humans do cause others to suffer. If God were involved and caring, all this nonsense would have stopped a lot sooner. Once while in field service, I met a man who lost his faith in God because of the suffering and death he personally saw while fighting for the Americans in World War 2.
God does promise great things for those that obey his word.
If God is the great life-giver who cares about us, then life should already be great. If you had children you cared about and could afford to put them in a nice home, would you deliberately move to a war zone like Baghdad where dozens of innocent people are killed weekly?
We shouldn't have to wait for some far-off "promise" that has no reassurance to people looking at reality. It takes a great deal of faith to believe such promises, given God's current absence from involvement in earth's affairs. (Does he really care about us now? If so, why should promises written in an ancient religious book be very inspiring right now?)

How do you explain the observed cosmic background radiation?
I think humans are guilty for most of the suffering in the world.
Did humans cause the earthquake and subsequent tsunami that devastated Indonesia, and large areas of Asia and Africa last December? On the contrary humans did everything they could to prevent it, to warn others, to prevent loss of life in the aftermath and to rebuild the damaged areas. Your god did nothing.

Promises, promises. Your god is all talk.

It means little to me, although there are strong indications that something like the big bang started it off. Some creationists like the idea. At least we know that the universe exists, contrary to your god.

Maybe not, if you count natural disasters and the suffering in the animal world, which has gone on for eons as a natural state.
Optimism is ok, but the rest of your post is speculation about something somewhere else at a nebulous future time. If it makes you feel good now, that's ok, i guess.

I find it amazing that our speculations are spectacular until we get there.
Just think of the many theories to explain: the edge of the earth, the sun/earth rotation, the moon, mars, etc.
In comparison, we are not too much further along than they were 5K or 6K years ago. So, our attempts to explain the unseen may be just as far-fetched.
However, think of wonderful conversation fodder we are making for future generations.

John Milton had an interesting opinion in Paradise Lost. God made man so wonderful and exalted that Satan was jealous, or something like that.
That idea comes from a first-century AD pseudepigraphal work called The Life of Adam and Eve. Milton and Dante drew a lot on these noncanonical works.

I guess it's just me then , to me the bible stories make sense and have no reason to hate God or disbelieve . Disasters are something we have to accept as part of the chaotic world we are stuck with for the time being .All those people that died have a hope of resurrection in the future world and paradise, now whether or not they can live in those conditions is yet to be proven since it was all paradise to begin with and we see where that led . I'd sooner blame adam and eve or even the devil for what we have today then accuse God of wrongful things , that will get you nowhere . The way I see it we are all pawns in some sort of chess match with the good and evil forces . We all have choices to make as to what we believe or how we live . We either chose a path of peace or we are left with nothing .
