I just recently, under the cover of darkness, 'donated' most of my old mags to a local KH - 2 big, heavy boxes. Books, too. 'What a load' off my mind - and freed up attic space! Man - who'd have thunk they'd come in handy/valuable?
It is true, though - they're their own worst enemy when their words come back to bite 'em. I'd like to get my hands on copies of 'The Harp of God' and the 'Studies in the Scriptures' series - cheap - but I'll bet you all would too. Around here they've gone through the used book stores and bought and destroyed all the old 'relevant to our case' books... but not before I got a few oldies but goodies!
I thought you guys were talking about the change in wording in the Awakes from "...the Creator's promise of a peaceful and secure new world before the generation that saw the events of 1914 passes away." to: "...the Creator's promise of a peaceful and secure new world that is about to replace the present wicked, lawless system of things." That changed in one of the September/'95 issues, I think. I have several 'pre-change' Awakes if anyone's interested. Here's all that's left from the 20th century:
