Well done Blondie, as usual...........I think we need to seperate fact from rumour.

I know he was raised as a Witness [fact, to some extent anyway]

and he wrote the apology letter(which was published in the Watchtower) [ Never to my knowlege , and I am sure that I would remember such a thing. The Awake quote was in the context of an article entitled "Young people ask, What about Music Videos?" Jacksons words are from another quote, not attributed to any source though . His is the only video named out of several examples that are just described]

as well as giving the WTS a boatload of money($$$millions$$$) over the fallout of his Thriller album. [Really ? rumour]

Recently he proclaimed his faith in Jehovah as if he is still a JW [ reported as fact but saying that you have faith in Jehovah does not make one a "Witness"

and his father who kicked the crap out of his kids(requisite to raising a fine JW family) as well as his mother are attending court. [ It is a fact that his parents are in court]

Nb Abusing ones children is no part of raising a family the "Witness way"

If any do not know my posts, I have no time any more for the J W religion, but believe that we must stick to the truth, in order to be credible opposers. BTW I believe M J should do time...

Hey, I forgot my manners - Welcome to the board MRD3

Right, and the quote posted earlier doesn't even actually apologize. It almost says he's sorry, but not quite; saying you regret a decision you made does not =acknowledging responsibility and apologizing for it. (ie, I could say I regret buying my car, but that doesn't mean I accept blame and am remorseful. Far from it.) I seriously suspect the WTS put him up to that, with the requisite threats of DF or public reproof.

I believe MJ to be a sociopath, incapable of producing a genuine apology for anything. He skirts around any accusations while putting on a shallow, insincere show of remorse, just like the sociopathic child molesters clients I used to have when I was a social worker. The attempts at fooling people into believing he is remorseful are artfully intertwined with rationalization and excuses. Everything about the interviews I've seen of MJ indicates this.

There was a thread similar to this last week and someone wrote that he's been going to meetings in a California congregation...

On March 25, Dr. Firpo Carr was making his weekly appearance on the "Fridays with Firpo" segment of Jon Ziegler's radio show on Los Angeles KFI-AM. For those who may not know, Firpo Carr is an active JW (and author of some pro-JW secular literature) who is a close friend of the Jackson family. He was once described by the media as Michael Jackson's "spiritual advisor."

Dr. Carr was discussing the volumes of pornography found in Michael's house and clearly stated that Michael Jackson is not one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

(if you'd like to hear it, send me a pm with your email address)

Hi NN. Nice to see your post.

Just a question: what kind of porn was it? I'm not up on the latest developments.

    "I

    Would Never Do It Again!"

In another popular video, Thriller, the performer is seen to transform first into a "cat person," then a dancing "monster." Evidently not wanting viewers to conclude that it promoted spiritism, the film begins with the disclaimer: "Due to my strong personal convictions, I wish to stress that this film in no way endorses a belief in the occult.?Michael Jackson." Nevertheless, it was so realistic that some who saw it admitted that they were horrified at first. What was this short film intended to convey? And how does the performer, Michael Jackson, feel about it in looking back?

"I would never do it again!" says Jackson. "I just intended to do a good, fun short film, not to purposely bring to the screen something to scare people or to do anything bad. I want to do what?s right. I would never do anything like that again." Why not? "Because a lot of people were offended by it," explains Jackson. "That makes me feel bad. I don?t want them to feel that way. I realize now that it wasn?t a good idea. I?ll never do a video like that again!" He continues: "In fact, I have blocked further distribution of the film over which I have control, including its release in some other countries. There?s all kinds of promotional stuff being proposed on Thriller. But I tell them, ?No, no, no. I don?t want to do anything on Thriller. No more Thriller.?"

I wouldn't be surprised if Jackson was going to meetings again. There's a notable tendency among men who've been accused or convicted of child molestation of finding solace in religion. It looks good, especially for someone who wants to impress the jury. A few years ago, I worked as a clinical psychologist in several prisons and found it fascinating the way sex offenders suddenly (re)developed their ardent religiosity in a timely manner before they were to appear before parole boards.

TV Guide had a exclusive interview with Jackson in the November 10-16 2001 TV Guide. On page 20 he was asked:

TVG: Are you still a Jehovah's Witness?

MJ: Yeah. I've done, you know, we call it pioneering. We do 90 hours a month. I don't do as much now because I'm busy. You go door to door. I wear a fat suit, pop-bottle glasses, mustache, buck teeth and, like, an Afro wig. And I knock on the door and say we're Jehovah's Witnesses.

Zeroday - LOL! I can just see these famous people all dressing up to go out preaching WTBTS doctrine!

The buckteeth , afro wig and bottle glasses - now that should have been front page news! Too funny!
