this was taken at the 1991 District Convention in Madison, WI. My mom was big on having her subjects face the sun, apparently so the face wouldn't be in shadow. Hey, Ma, the light just keeps getting brighter! AHAHAHAHA!!!

it was at the Civic Center in Madison, WI. they had this HUGE, GINORMOUS globe, and then these trails leading off from it with these big tubes, one of which I'm standing in. and the dress? two sizes too big, so no one could see that I had a waist, and six inches too long, so no brother could see my knees AND HAVE TO MARRY ME! I was a size 3, dangit! I'm just glad my mom never heard of the burka while I was a teenager.
