    I could see some doing that. For a few people, the fantasy could be more bearable than reality, the cage more comfortable/comforting than the open field, the warmth of the 'brotherhood' a home w warmth and predictability which they are unable to find on the outside. But, i would never do it

    I agree with Satanus - to a prisoner of 30 years the inside of a 6 x 6 cell is all he knows, and the outside World, although representing ''freedom'' may appear scary and alien. Sometimes it's more comfortable to stay with what you know.

    Why would anyone want to go through all the abuse again?

    No matter, I'm an apostate. They don't want me back. With my corrupting knowledge it would be 'spiritual shipwreck' to the whole congregation if they knew what I know.
