Not only that but they get penalized by Obamacare for not having insurance. I imagine that many will try to declare themselves exempt because of religion or too poor.

Wasn't there an anecdotal report from the Annual Meeting a couple years back where one of the speakers stated that if any elder sends his kid to college or university, his appointment as an elder could be revoked? -

Thats not antidotal. Its in the ks book/letters to the BOE. Its not automatic removal but its automatic review if his qualifications which could lead to removal -

It's more than an anecdote. It is in writing, in a BOE letter from 3 or 4 years ago.
It's not "automatic", but if the elder and/or his family is encouraging others to do the same, or emphasizing the material benefits of higher education that the son/daughter hopes to gain, "his qualifications should be reviewed".
