Hello to everyone, my name is esther and I am from australia.

I was directed to this website from my ex husband who also was a jw. i guess in the truth we still are as we have not been df or disocciated ourselves.

I just wanted to say hi. This is a great website, i had been brought up in the truth and had only decided to leave about 2 years ago, when my marriage was failing,I'm not a person who lives great by other peoples rules, especially when i dont agree with half of them. My father is an elder and a very strict one at that, he loves to use the emotional blackmail on me. I have a 3 year old son and i watch him at his birthdays and at christmas and get rather upset i was never given the chance to experience this for myself, but im living through my son.

I would love to meet new people

    chat soon.

Hello Esther - it's sad when people realise how much they've missed because of JW, but it's great to hear that you can experience these things through your son. As you never indoctrinated him, he'll have Free Will - I think that's what a lot on here miss, the history of never being able to make choices.

    G'day Esther,

Biblical name eh .. figures lol. It's good to see you here - this site needs as many ozzies as it can get.

Now about that boy of yours - I know macas is rubbish and not fit to feed to an englishman but, as soon as he goes to school, book a McDonalds birthday party for him and his new chums. I have two daughters and, although I'd 'walked away from the truth', for several years I was too anal to attend my own girls birthday parties. Shame, unc shame. Those times are precious and only come once. Xmas trees, birthday parties happy times at the beach make for wonderful childhood memories.

    best wishes, unclebruce

btw: I don't believe in Jesus, Buddha, Christna, the easter bunny, satan or Alexanda Downer but I do believe in Father Christmas. Come December my place is lit up ike a battleship, not for me of course but any passing kiddy winks. Funny how self empowering a tree with a few twinkly lights can be.
