Im aware that all pages are saved in this special folder, but I just delete it every time I have been on this site. My question is, can my dad get a list from the internet company, that contains all the internet sites that have been visited for example the last month?

In theory, maybe. In practice, it's very very difficult and he may not be able to get them without a court order even if such records are kept.

As long as you clear the history and delete temporary internet files and cookies, you should be OK.

Edit: It might be worthwhile checking with your ISP to make absolutely sure.

Not if you click on the "start" menu, then click on "internet options" and delete "cookies, files & history"

I do clear the search history and cookies already, I just wondered if he could get a list, like you can get a list of all phonenumbers that has been dialed.

There should be some settings where you can do this automatically upon exiting and rebooting the machine. Go into internet options and settings and set the amount of disk space to save internet files to zero. Then, set the number of days to save links you've visited to zero. After that, when you're finished surfing always remember to reboot the machine and when anyone gets on the internet after that, the browser will come up "sanitized".

DO BE SURE to delete all three. Then empty the recycle bin. More than once my honey has thought he has wiped all evidence of his visits to girlie sites, only to have me stumble on a new collection of pictures sitting in a temporary file.

Yes the website visited can track who has been there unless you use a service such as http://www.the-cloak.com/anonymous-surfing-home.html

Likely you are concerned about your dad finding you have been to places like JWD and Porn? JWD isn't interested in tracking you, but Porn sites are for spaming purposes.

    1. Clear cookies before each time your browse

    2. Use an anonymizer site - there are tons.

    3. Clean out your cookies, history and internet temp files as previously suggested

    4. You may want to turn off the "Restore" feature of XP - reboot and turn it back on so your dad can't go back in time to when you weren't so careful.

Assuming your dad is paying the ISP bill, I doubt he would have any trouble getting information about your activity from the ISP. From their perspective, it's *his* activity. Of course, it wouldn't be common to ask for that info, so it might not be as easy as a phone call.

For added protection, you could use a different web browser like Firefox or Opera. (People typically think of the Internet Explorer locations for history information) And use an anonymizer site as well.
