Which is more insulting, to call my dad "dad" or "Joe", or even worse, mispronounce his name "Yo"? To call him by his title is a sign of respect for his position. I am sure the only reason the WTBTS clings to the name is to further mark themselves as different than the rest of us, and further alienate their members from regular people. To banish birthdays and declare that the cross was a stake are similarly very weak arguments. Funny, if you try and engage a JW apologist on these issues, they will claim that they are minor and unimportant. Well, if they are minor, unimportant, and wrong, why not abandon them?
