I went on a trip across the country and sort of rediscoverd myself. You'll be glad to know that I have been clean for over a year, and have recently started my own business building staircases. For the first time ever I can say that I am truely happy. Thank you so much for the loving words and encouragement. During a time in my life when I felt as if I had been disfellowshipped a second time, I had you guys and didn't even know it untill now. Thank you.
I'm so happy for you. Like my husband, you are a strong person to overcome this part of your past. It is a journey though...sobriety is never something you attain and get to keep forever. You have to work at it daily. Neil just had his 5 year anniversary earlier this month, but it's been with a lot of work.
I know you'll do fine if you stick to being true to yourself.
