JWs are trained to keep contact to an absolute minimal with all non-JWs. Non-JWs, unless they're giving steps towards becoming JWs, are under the influence and control of Satan, the ruler of this world.

I recommend you get Steve Hassen's books on "Combatting Mind Control"
I was thinking the same thing as I was reading your post, but I see Joy beat me to it. I can only add that this book will help you to understand why your mother isn't acting like your mother any more.
