Many householders, upon discovering that I worked in the IT field, wanted me to work on their computers, but my bible-trained conscience? wouldn't allow me to do it.
That's funny. But you know I think JWs would have much more success out in the field if they actually would spend some time doing something useful for people, like fixing their computers. Maybe then people wouldn't hide and pretend they're not home. Maybe the sis from Austrailia has the right idea after all...

I did once do some actual selling from door to door. It was a multi purpose handle invented by a bro from Southampton in which you could fasten a sponge or paint brush, anything in fact.
I knew I was losing it when I offered the mags to a householder describing them as being all the rage at the Ideal Home Exhibition.

We have one "sister" here downunder who sells a lot more than clothes on her house-to-house 'ministry'!!! They (the men householders) get quite an offer!!!
