Just be careful mang... racoons are notorious for rabies. Dont let it get close enough to you for it to chomp on your toe or something.

Not wanting to be called a racist, (anti-coon) I finally gave up on the wrist rocket and pellet gun. Put an electric fence around the fish pond and the rackys have quit harrassing us all night long. the last one here hit the fence and ran up the telephone pole at the corner of the garden. He was stil there at noon the next day.
Spearing anything in the kitchen conjures up scenes of Jeb Clampert...and the hillbillies..

There are benefits and drawbacks. The drawback is that if it goes right through the little critter, it will put a hole in whatever is behind it. The benefit is that it's already shishkabobed. Not sure how they taste, though.
