The time I remember the most, I was at a presentation in a private home. Soon after I got there, I realized the homeowner was a minister and all his invited guests were from his church. They asked me if I was a believer and I said I was. That's as far as it went.
They asked what church I went to, and I did tell them I was not a churchgoer, and they all looked at each other like that was "so sad".
It was during the Monica Lewinsky fiasco, so they were all bashing Clinton and saying how they just knew "Jesus would see to it that he was kicked out of the Presidency". I was being busy with my bookwork, and didn't have to comment.
Most of the time I try to remain neutral and avoid the subject.
