Mouthy, Sign up with Yahoo and download their brower bar which inlcudes spyware now. I run it just before logging off the internet. Then log off while it's running. Best of all, it's FREE, and we all know that "Free is a Very Good Price" (Tom Peterson tv advertising, Portland Oregon).

I was badly infected and my computer was doing wacko things when I was logged on - initial attack was on about 9/16 when I was on another ex-JW site!

I think "it" is a fig newton* of the imagination...created by the churches to scare people into attending for a lifetime...but that's just me.

Who gives a crap about time lines...

The Bible is very clear that it (the exact date) is undiscernable an unknowable. So why the obsession? Does it change who your are? Is it like the bumper sticker that says, "Jesus is coming- look busy (or hide the porn!)". Come on. Leave these pointless debates about dates. You're either ready or your not.

It states that only the Father and Son know "when", if arguments about dates and chronologies could be known by men than certainly Satan and the demons were there while history was happening and KNOW when a given event really took place and could just calculate very precisely any date. But this is not the case, even people who speak to the demons don't make this kind of error, unless of course it is to make "Bible people" look even more foolish than they already are. To be honest I think many "pagan" faiths are more "Christian" than modern day christians IMO! Let's just say that it was "discerned" that the end is 500 years from now- what does it change? Perhaps christians are like men about to die in a foxhole (you know they say there are no athiests in a foxhole). Why? because it make us feel safer when doom is iminent. It's merely a psychological coping mechanism, not built on any faith or merit, merely a wish that "God" will be good to us and show us mercy. Well the odds are that you'll probably get the mercy-lucky for all of us.

Thus no need to live in constant fear (doesn't love throw fear out? nah!).

Brenda got the wrong end of the stick, on this thread. I'm not one of those bods who endlessly speculate about dates. I was burned with that one as a JW and now leave well alone for the reasons you stated.
