The turning right on a red light in the USA scared me to death. So did the U turns people made on dual-carriageways.
The other unusual thing was being able to overtake on any side on the Interstate. In the UK, you can only overtake another vehicle by passing on the drivers side (the right). This applies to 3 or 4 lane motorways too.
