Does the Karaoki machine have words and a bouncing dot?
If so, it wont work with just any old cassettes.
Besides, it's always fun to see the look on people's faces when they suddenly realise that they've been singing the wrong words for years...
...and the dot goes bouncing on...

That reminds me of going to karaoke bars in Malaysia. They do speak English there, and the karaoke songs are in English if you choose them. What was funny is that many of the lyrics were wrong, because they hear them differently. I remember one man singing an Elvis song that I knew very well, and the words on the screen were all wrong. I was sitting there chuckling and they couldn't understand why I thought the words were wrong. I can't think of an example, but it was hilarious. Totally changed the song's meaning.
Here is a small example. This isn't the really funny one, but I cannot remember what song it was or I could look it up. This is the way the lyrics show on the screen.
Wise men say - Only fools rush in, (they sang "only fool rush in") (no s's on the ends of words)
But I can't help falling in love with you. (REPEAT)
Shall I stay - Would it be a sin,
If I can't help falling in love with you. ("if I can help falling in love with you")
Like a river flows ("like a river flow")
Surely to the sea
Darling so it goes ("Darling so it go")
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand - Take my whole life too,
For I can help falling in love with you.
Like a river flow
Surely to the sea
Darling so it go
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand - Take my whole life too, ("take my whole wife too")
For I can help falling in love with you. -

I don't know Gumby, I'll call and ask and get back to you. It has over 200 selections on it...you need more? You bring more, you sing more.

Food update:
I'll be making Asiago Crab Dip and Smoked Salmon Dip. I decided that a taste of the Northwest would be perfect....especially spread on a crostini. :D

Batten down the hatches!
Seriously tho, there is no way Seattle will ever be completely ready for Ross. Even though they have had months of preparation, LT will still find some way of putting his mark on the city.
Fare thee well, sweet Seattle... we'll miss ya. (Actually I will miss ya... make sure to take plenty of pics so I can see the fun being had)

Oh ma'aan. If I wasn't tied up with family Chrismas the whole weekend I'd come up. I'm in Portland only 180 miles south. 3 hour drive. But I'm gonna be another hour away in McMinnville. Humph.
LT you have a safe flight and a grand time. Everyone else, too!
Hugs and MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

This is true. We are used to kilts though. Seattle is the home of the famous utilikilt. www.utilikilt.com We might have to pay that store a visit and see if we can talk him into getting fitted for a camo utilikilt and work boots.
Perhaps Seattle will be fine and Ross won't be ready?
Weather looks like it's going to be good too!
Dang FMZ, we are bummed you can't make it! We'll somehow suffer our way through (I made dozens of cookies yesterday) and hopefully someone will be alert enough to snap a pic or two.
Happy Birthday Ian!
