The reason why the evil empire paints philosphy as "Satan's tool" is because it causes one to exchange faith for reason. Look at the Münchhausen Trilemma; circular arguments, regressive arguments, and axiomatic arguments.
Like most religions, Jehovah's Witnesses are faith based, which doesn't get past circular arguments.
Circular argument:
1) Jehovah is God and he made everything.
2) This is true because the Bible says it is true.
3) We know the Bible is true because it is Jehovah's word.
4) We know his word is true because Jehovah is God, etc

That is why you just have to have faith to believe it all and if you don't have faith your are considered weak or dumb.
