I know how that is, My ex's family referes to dinner or tea as a meal. I know that in itself does not sound confusing, but when we were invited out he would say we've been invited out for a meal, i'd have to then work out if is was breakfast, lunch or dinner.

They also refer to a sandwich as a double, because it has two slices of bread. Two sandwiches was two doubles and a sandwich was jus one piece of bread with topping. They're dutch, any othe Dutch families call sandwiches the same thing.

Oh yeah, Laura you can come and bring your yorksire puddings.

My wife often makes Yorkshire Pudding to go with roast lamb. I thought that it was only supposed to go with roast beef, until I saw that someone else (Cruzan) here does the same thing. Maybe she's not so weird after all!

Yorkshire puddings can go with any piece of meat really so long as there is plenty of gravy,or if you are opting for cold yorkshire puddings then make sure there is plenty of jam...mmmmm.
