Sorry your thread got hijacked, Danny. You made some really good points about a very real problem. Now, everyone, let's not get into the "B" part, as one of my old Watchtower conductors used to fuss about, and get back on track.

For the record, the issue that seem to have prompted this thread has, after looking at all the evidence, nothing AT ALL to do with 'stalkers and perps'.
No one has been, or is being, stalked. It was simply a case of a short-term online relationship that didn't go anywhere and should NEVER have become any sort of forum issue.
Since people started threads making allegations, it has become one which has not been fair on those involved and certainly not on others who have been labelled through speculation (such as sixofnine)
This doesn't alter the fact that if people are receiving unwanted attention via this site (PMs, Chat) then they should report it and we will take action if necessary.
However, none of the 'attention' seems to have been unwanted at the time and people should be responsible for their own actions and consequences IMO. If there has been any fault then it has been on all sides and nothing to do with us!
As a side note, some have inferred that some sort of 'predatory' behavior has gone on warranting warning etc... and this is simply NOT the case. If people are really concerned about this then having secret relationships behind their partners back and having to keep their relationship hidden is what puts them at risk of being used. If people are open and honest then they are not at such risk as, if someone is playing games, there is chance for others to raise the alarm.
If you don't want to get burnt, don't play with matches !
