Your link site starts off with a wrong assumption. That is what the WTB&TS does, plants a thought and than builds it to their own liking.

Sorry not everything posted, trying again.

The skeptic?s bible says, God likes Abel's dead animals better than Cain's fruits and vegetables. Why? Well, no reason is given, but it probably has something to do with the amount of pain, blood, and gore involved. 4:3-5
    NIV Genesis 4:3-7
3 In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD . 4 But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.
6 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it."
Cain brought some of the fruits where Abel brought fat portions and the firstborn. Abel gave of his best, where Cain did what he had to. It was not what was given, but how it was given.
In verse 7 God could see that Cain?s heart was intent on sin and it was close by.

Out of nearly 700 instances in the Bible including murder of Babies, Children, Animals, you refute one person's opinion as to the reason for the Carnage in one Scripture. My take on what the author said was that he was trying to get the point across of Animal Sacrifice, needless spilling of blood, as compared to a fruit offering. Granted, the Author used Sarcasm, sort of the same way that I posted this thread, but the fact still remains that numerous accounts are shown, without refute, that there seems to be an "Air" of Sadism, Cruelty, or whatever you would call it, by a Deity claiming to be "Love".

That is what the WTB&TS does, plants a thought and than builds it to their own liking.

Anyone can build thoughts as to "why" to their own liking, but does that somehow discount factual evidence? That is, if the Bible really is the inspired word of God?

Scenario: A rapist/murderer gets convicted. Somehow, someway, someone will try to add their 2 cents as to why did this person do this, and some would even try to justify it. Fact is, the guy did do those crimes, no matter the motive; Murder is Murder is Murder. He gets the death penalty. Day comes for the "Chair". Should the justices also put the man's 6 month old baby, his wife, and his dog, and pet parakeet in the chair with him? Scriptural fact shows that God-the Ultimate Justice, would have done this type of thing. Would this be right?

How can something be factual if based on a lie? If there is factual evidence why did they have to use an untruth to support their stand? But the truth here is that other site starts off with an untruth that it builds upon lie, which is not unlike what the WTB&TS does. It misuses scripture for its own benefit or twists it or changes it if they can not do one of the other. In the very first Watchtower, Russell states, that a truth said by Satan is still the truth (not an exact quote). That view has permeated the WTB&TS teaches ever since.

The lie is that there was no reason given for why God was displeased with Cain. The scriptures do tell you why. If you want to post the other scriptures we can look at those or give us a site that uses the scriptures properly.

    Ohiocowboy,

I see your point in this thread.

The God of the Hebrew scriptures is very warlike, bloodthirsty and vengful ( Human characteristics; blood spilliing was a fact of the ancient world). Was this Yahweh?

The God of the New Testament ( no name) was described as being benevolent and loving. Were these the attributes of the "personage of Jesus" whoever or whatever he actually was? ( man or "son of god" as the JWs and other christian religion teaches?)

Clearly, as expressed in the Bible, the Creator has a bipolar disorder.

1 John 4 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 2 Corn.11 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants[Jehovah's Witnesses] masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. Jehovah is NOT the God of the Bible! http://www.familybible.org/Teaching/Messianic/Jehovah.htm Jehovah is a Jinn Im not a fundy,i only know that people imitate the god that they worship.

How about all the GOOD Jehovah has done? IE: Creation, families, love, happiness, health, good friends, SENDING HIS SON, etc.? Are we going to ignore all the positive and focus only on what we believe to be negitive??
