    I can take one exampel.

we all now about the polyci to convickt sexabuser ot pedofiles, you must have two wittneses to what happend if not we must putt it i n jehovas hand,

But if you sleep over together before you are married, you dont need any wittneses att al to be dfd or reeprofed, even if it is a third person ther it is an dfd thing says the elder book.enen if it is an third person ther.

Why it is so important widh two wittneses to judge sexabuser, but when it comes to peopel as doing nothing only sleep over in the same department it need no wittneses att al to bad things happend to dfd them.

So you can be harder judged if you only sleep in a bed than if you rape chilrden, or sex abuse them in any way, this is not so unusal, i have among my family peopel as have been judged fore this minor thing, sleeping over widhuot doing anything, the punishment was totaly reeprof.

I have also exampel from elder as have use girls under 15 fore porniea, and the punishment was only steep down as an elder.

some very hard things to deal widh fore mee and some alse as now this.

I can also ask one more qestion, Wt have told us to tell evrythnig bad we do at once, but if we hide it fore a long time, how will it effeckt the puishment?

Softer or harder , intresting to see what your answer on this is, i new it and will tell later.

I remember reading something on this, if the sin has stayed a secret for a long time and there has been no further sinning since then then the person does not have to confess it, and no punishment is needed.

I don't think thats quite right, Gadget, at least it wasn't in my case.

I remember reading it in an article from around 1980 that dealt with the question of what if an elder confessed to major wrong doing in his past, and the answer was that if it was in his past(Along long time ago), and was not being continued now then there was no reason to make a public show of it and bring the past back up but to use the evidence that Jehovah had blessed him by making him an elder to show that Jehovah had forgiven him for it.

Thats a good point Gadget, km have an artikel about this 1972 somethong like it.

But if so ,arent we rewarded fore hiding it, let me take an exampel an elder have an affair widh a girl as is under 15, and he hide it fore a long time, but someone saw this and tell it after this long time, what happend then?

Wasnt this one as saw this a wicktim, and wasnt the elder hiding a very bigg crime, how can the elder hold specahes, and procide like a high man all this years. Are not the bibel telling us, if we are judges and do the same siin our self as the man we judge, we have no mercy, this have JW forgett

But when it comes to yung peopel as sleeping over toghter, and do nothing it is a very heavy crime, pleas tell mee the place in the bibel as say this is a sinn, isn´t arule as the elders must follow , besides what , has happend.

prhaps sopmeone here can discuss this widh the powerfull men from GB.

I thought JWs had that covered with the injunction against stumbling others. Just like every other fun innocent thing a young person might want to do.

    Gadget,

Yes you are correct about the KM. I wrote to the WTS about this a few years later and they said that the KM article was to be applied to less serious issues like smoking and an occasional lapse with a drinking problem, not the more serious 'sins'. I wrote after a member of a Branch committee was removed for something ( fornication ) that had occured twenty-five years previously.

    HappyMan,

You make an excellent point regarding the WTS allowing judicial action to be taken if a person stays overnight alone in the house of a member of the opposite sex, that they are not married to. They do this on the basis of 'the appearance of evil', yet when it comes to child abuse no such principle exists. IMHO it indicates that those who conspire to apply Biblical law within the WTS, have much to hide regarding the issues of child abuse.

    Best regards - HS

My photo copied extracts frm the "Shepherding the Flock" book say this on page 111 :-

    Handling Judicial Cases

Strong circumstantial evidence such as pregnancy or or evidence (testified to by at least two witnesses)that the accused stayed all night in the same house with a person of the opposite sex ( or in the same house with a known homosexual) under improper circumstances, is acceptable

The application of this depends on the individual body of elders. I have recounted an experience whereby a sister was just given some counsel, not in a judicial manner, because we totally accepted that nothing had happened. . Of course if a body of elders want to interpret this as a rule to get someone, they are able to do so.

If time has passed , I can think of two cases in my experience. Sister A, waited a few days before confessing to a single act of fornication . That delay was used as an excuse to judge her as unrepentant. An appeal committee overturned that decision . In contrast, Bro & Sis H , had been serving for years as a married couple, pioneered and he had been an elder although now stepped down. Sister H came forward one day and confeesed that they had sex before marriage,( in the truth). They were let off with a word of counsel , again not judicial counsel..

    Inconsistant , isnt it ?

Happyman, I was disfellowshipped for "the appearance of evil". In fact I had the man stay to protect me from my stalking and abusive ex husband. They disfellowshipped me anyway. What a good point about the child abuse issue. You are absolutely right. What hypocrites!

what about if 2 married couples slept in the same house together? the wife is not married to the other wife husband . isnt that temping each other to have sex ? or even wife swoping?

what about 2 girls sleeping in same house or bed .? .

my mum used to sleep with her sister ,in the old days no one thought bad stuff about ppl who did that .but even then there were lesbians .but ppl just didn think badly of everyoine cause a few women were at it .
