In harmony with all the threads you post my point is not you(the person) it's your methodology. Can you tell the difference? T

That is why I have disclosed more of myself to you so you will understand this too. See under the co-dependent postings.

So, what you're essentially saying, Jan,in both threads, is that you don't feel signing people up to your email list without their permission is Wrong and that it's the people's responsibility to ask to be taken off AFTER you sigh them up without permission.

Do you realize that it's against the rules of every email group/list site on the web? I tell ya, it's time to put my hip waders on. The poop's getting deep in here! And Yes, Comf, I'll drop it now. It's obvious this woman has some SERIOUS denial problems.

That is not what I said Teresa.

What I did say is that if someone finds themselves getting e-mails from me, that if I have overlooked asking them at any time, then they only have to ask me to remove them.

Now, if they have been receiving them from me for over 2 years, if they have sent me thankyou's during that time, if they have not responded to e-mails asking them if they want to be removed, then they have consented to being there.

Now, you were removed. You asked to be removed.

I do try to make sure that I ask everyone ..... sure I miss some, but it is not intentional. When these say something I react ..... and remove them. And I apologise to them for my error.

Finds themselves getting emails from you, huh? By ACCIDENT, of course.

No, a thank you for a good post is NOT a consent form, Jan. A consent form is asking you to sign them up for your list. IT DIDN"T HAPPEN. And when a person has to write you THREE TIMES to be taken off the list, then PUBLICLY announce it before any action is taken, there's definitely not consent there.

I'm done. I truly tried to keep my respect for you, Jan. It's a shame that I've lost that respect. But truly, it was your own doing. Admitting a wrong has been done is SOOOO much better than side-stepping, denying, and beating around the bush. And the ultimate wrong is trying to make others take the blame for your own actions. Truly a pity, Jan.

You did NOT have to ask three times .....

You asked, I forgot. You wrote again and I clarified the point and you answered and then you were removed.

I find it so interesting what you are doing ..... very interesting.

yes I asked to be put on her list. Sometimes if someones motives are good and from the heart as I believe Jans are, we should have more patience.

Jan, the emails I posted speak for themselves, as well as the posts from others you have done this to. I rest my case.

I also send out tidbits on a regular basis, funnies and JWNews. If you prefer not to receive these, please let me know. Meanwhile, I will leave your name on my list until I hear from you.

In this quote lies the problem. You said that you would leave her name on the list until she asked to be removed, even though she never asked to be put on it in the first place.
IMHO, you should have asked if she liked to be added and until then she would not be on the list.
