    G'day all,

Well, how was your week? The NGO issue seems to be playing well (or should we say unwell) for the Borg right now, and we've been able to meet more new posters on JWD. No longer lurkers, they're beginning to see the truth about "The Troof". We were glad too to welcome beaker to our motley crew http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/69492/1.ashx Another one from downunder.

Right now there's a major rain depression over New South Wales and the rain is fairly bucketing down. Oh well, a good time to make a cuppa and do a poll, eh?

    So, what'll it be?

Well, this weekend's poll question is:

Why are there no polls in the "Awake!" magazine?

    1. Dubs don't have opinions.

    2. It's not allowed 'cos it's like voting and we know that's bad.

    3. No-one in Brooklyn is interested in polls.

    4. They don't want to know what you think.

    5. It would mean another department at Bethel when they're downsizing.

    6. Polls may tell them what they don't want to know.

    7. Polls would show it's not a "spiritual paradise".

    8. The dubs don't read the "Awake!".

    9. The WTS doesn't like "public opinion".

    10. It's worldly.

    11. Other (please detail)

So just settle back with a drink in hand and reminisce for a while. We're looking forward to reading your responses.

    Enjoy.

    Cheers, Ozzie

    Must conform. Resistance is futile.

    Most definitly.

Sorry about the rain Ozzie. We just enjoyed an unseasonably warm 75 degree spring day in Seattle. Steve just finished his first night dive in the Pacific (or anywhere) and has two more scheduled for the morning. I'm off to bed 'cause it's a long weekend alone with the kiddo's.

    'night...Rachel

Definitely...although I'd say, "Dubs aren't allowed to have opinions"...(except for the times when their opinions are "whatever the WT says")

Besides, no JW who'd been around would be dumb enough to say something that might get them in trouble, or might raise a red flag, or might be something the 'party line' would change on so you can't put it in print (which is everything, of course)

I have always dected a fear of listening to the R&F by those high up in the organisation.
    For example:
Most public talks are boring, the standard of speakers can be terrible.

Watchtower studies are either trival and insulting to the intelligence or unintelligible, e.g. those on prophecies

The field ministry is a waste of time - people are flocking into the organisation.

"If we want to know your opinion, we'll give it to you first."

You nailed it, Country Guy! Hilarious.

    11. Asking the R&F's opinion would imply that god wasn't running the show.
