Whenever any new ones were at the KH when this same old crap was rehashed before every assembly it used to make me cringe in embarrassment because it made us look like retards that someone had to tell us how to behave like we were all little kids with no manners.

Yeah, they can talk. They say this while the VIPs go to sit in the fancy clubhouses of each convention site and enjoy air-conditioning, no noises from the rank and file, comfortable seats, no-wait ultra-clean restrooms for their wives and daughters, even tv reception of the program while they talk about 'theocratic' issues throughout the convention.
In one assembly talk an elder, talking about modest dress, said "sisters, does your underwear show?"
Damn... they should have done a demonstration to show what was not "appropriate"
