You know, the jw's in their quest to remain "no part of the world" brings alot of trouble on themselves.

I mean, any group of people are a cross-cut of society. Any problem that society has is existent in any group no matter how contained they are.

Take police for example. There are child molesters, theifs, wife abusers etc inheirant in the police force. Why? Because they are a cross-cut of society.

The dubs say they "keep the congregation clean". Malarky. The same social ills that plague the general public are naturally a part of the congregation also.

But when a social group tries to cover up an issue and knowingly hides it, it becomes a known refuge for ones who seek to benifit. Bluntly stated, a child molester who realizes he can carry on his intentions as long as he follows the rules,will surely find such organizations fruitful.

Two witnesses are needed in order for him to even be brought to the attention of others. How hard is that?

The child molestation/incest issue was recongnized long long ago.

Remember the 1960's movie, The three faces of Eve? That movie brought to the forfront the issue.

The fact is, the watchtower in their quest to be god, refuses to accept common knowledge, calls modern medicine and therapy evil, then claims ignorance on the issue.

I am outraged....

In offering this "explaination" do you think the dubs will show some "new light" in the near future?

I hope this is a precursor to some action being taken.

Your poor mother. Somehow, some way, it's usually the mother's fault - particularily when dealing with a group of men governed by social viewpoints of the 40's-50's. ie: The Watchtower Society

The woman wanted to be raped.
The mother knew "somehow" - as she is The Mother.
The girl was "asking for it."
Did you see how she was dressed?
If the mother had given the father his sexual "due" - then he wouldn't have HAD to turn to his daughter for "relief."

lol - there's probably more of those nearly universal believed lies of former generations. Damned shame the WTBTS still teaches them to their followers. Btw, mothers can know sometimes, turn a deaf ear, blind eye, brutal hit, to the child also. Just because there's a mother, doesn't make them totally right or wrong.....just human.

Ran into a former jw the other day - who made the right choice when her daughter was abused by her husband (step father). She called a social worker for guidance - who referred her to the proper police authority.....then called the elders. One elder wouldn't even talk to her about it - said he was "sick of" hearing all this type of filth.

He gave her the number of another elder - who immediately asked "who have you talked to?" "Well, the police, of course." He was furious, telling her that the elders "could have handled this within the congregation - but now it was too late."

"Faith without knowledge" is worthless. The local jw's faith in the WT has no actual knowledge behind that faith. Sometimes I can't grasp the idea that I was part of that worthless corporation for 30 years.

Not quite 20 years ago, but certainly more than 10, all elders in Australia were given an Information Sheet entitled "What to say to victims of child abuse". This sheet was to to be kept (in their elders' bags?) for reference.

Needless to say, Australia's TV Channel Nine have a copy along with a mountain of evidence that can be used as a follow-up program to the highly effective "Sunday" program.

The point is, the WTS did know and yet still their "official" media site is displaying words of denial.
