I look forward to meeting everyone... I will possibly definitely maybe go . I would really like to, but.. well, ya know... not usually a social futher mucker.

I will say yes for now... Coming from England I LOVE the southern american accents, (esp. TX, LA lol) so I don't wanna miss the chance of a lifetime. Will be a long ass drive from Missouri though.

Oh, also (it may have been mentioned earlier in the thread, but I refuse to browse 40 pages of this thread on slow dialup) what are the rules and regulations of the cook off? Also, what is the procedure? I hate going somewhere and not knowing where to go or what to do, as I generally end up stood in the middle of a room looking all confused. One time I went into a bank to open an account, and there were like three different kinds of counter. I went to one, realized it was the wrong one, then turned around. I then started to freak out thinking everyone was watching me, so I went to the next counter just so I would be facing away from everyone. Again, I was at the wrong counter. I apologized, and started backing up, when I fell over a table. Then everyone WAS watching me. Just had to walk out in the end, bright red and wanting to die.

So if anyone sees an Englishman look like a lost sheep in the middle of a room holding a pot of chili, then kindly point him in the direction he needs to walk. (lol, just realized, we are all essentially "lost sheep" as far as the b0rg is concerned, judging bastards, I blame them for the bank incident).

FMZ, lol, at what you said about the englishman walking around with a pot of chili,,hehe.

That is one of the reasons I thougth it would be a good idea for us to wear name tags, at least until we get to know who is who. Alot of us know each other from pictures here, and meeting in person. But for the newer ones,,,,,,, I think it will make it easier for some of us who are welcoming those from far away, instead of you having to come up to us for the first time, ya know.

I am not from Texas, but was born in Texas,, so I feel like it is home and since it is a hop ,skip and jump from my state, I feel like being on the welcoming wagon of the south.

I think someone who will be there early to set things up , probably Valis,,,,,,will put the name tags down at the front office , if they don't aleady have our names on them. I think they are still working on how to do the name tags. If not........you can ask for Dede and Denny Brown.....that is me and my hubby , WildTurkey, and we will help direct you to wear everyone is at. I am not sure how it will work.

Or you could just wear a tshirt that says,,,,,,,,,,APOSTATE on it and you will have tons of peeps welcoming you.

Gosh I am getting so excited,,,,,,,,this is even better than a District Convention.....

You know, if you wear a kilt you don't have to dance.

I think that's in the Constitution.

BTW, thanks for the encouragement all. Also, unfortunately I do not have a kilt any longer... but I guess I could just wear my big British flag as a toga. lol
