I am the Queen of central Texas chili. My chili will kick some chili-ass, so I hope you're all ready. My Father is a chef, and he taught me how to make namby pamby chili for you Yankees, but I'm fixin to let some down-home Texas fire on YOU. I'll be there, with bells on. Unfortunately, I have to wear clothes at this event, but let me tell YOU.. the NEXT time we have a nude event... hehehhe. I am the cookin queen for this county, and I can cook like no mo-fo has cooked before. My chili will be HOT, and it will be GOOD, and it will never be topped. This comes from South Central Texas, and this chili is an OLD recipe that has never lost.
I met this old man down on the river when I went swimmin one day. He was sitting there, minding his own business. An old black guy. He had his head bowed, and his fishin rod in the river. The current brought me to him. I smiled at him and said hello. He looked right through me. I said "What's wrong? Are you okay?" He said "I'll be okay when I catch a fish." I thought "Well, okay, that's good." I was just happy that he wasn't dying of a heart attack or something like that. I continued to stay there where he was. He said "do you cook?" I said "yes, I cook." He said "well, there's lots of womenz these days that don't cook. See, the problemz with womenz these dayz is that they don't cook. They got themselves jobs and all that stuff, and they don't teach they dotters to cook. That's the problem with womenz these days. Nobody cooks. Food is the main thing with families, and nobody knows how to cook they food, so they just all run off and buy frozen food. The problem is that with frozen food, you just put it in the microwave and there is no family to stand around and talk about it while the food is cooking. Nobody eats with their families anymore, and that is the problem. What is good is that people still meet in kitchens where food should be cooked.
I kinda liked his ideas. I got to talkin about different recipes and we got to talkin about Texas chili. He gave me the BEST chili recipe I ever tasted.. and this is the one that is gonna KICK chili-ass/

AND you know this post will let me set in motion a couple things..

You must bring your chilli in a crock pot. Near the Bradford are several grocery stores to shop for your chilli stuff and buy a cheap crock pot if needed. Bribing a local Apostate into borrowing one optional.
Please be at the West End Pub By 5:30 w/your chilli. That way people can arrive and taste all the chillis and still walk around the West End before dinner at Sonny's. There will be crackers and chips to taste the chilli with and also happy hour prices for drinks.
