L'Ephroaig (might be misspelling that) is my favorite. Very peaty and nice.

"Laphroaig" is nice, so is "Talisker", from the Isle of Skye.
They are a bit on the harsher side, like "Macallan"'sThat's one reason why I like Glenmorangie - it's so smooth.

Steve just brought me a bottle of Laphroaig from Canada on Friday. I enjoyed it's smokey, peaty goodness last evening as I was cooking dinner. I haven't had Glenmorangie in ages. It's very expensive here. Do you drink Glenmorangie with any of the special finishes? There are a few different ones available at the liquor store. I think Lagavulin is my favorite right now, however I can't bring myself to pay the price since I'm a lone drinker around here. Bisous, there was an ad in a magazine that said it rhymes with "orange-y" I'm not sure that is right though. Little Toe? A pronunciation guide to the finer things?

Glenmorangie
That is our favorite. We went to the distillery when we were in Scotland a few years ago, just North of Inverness. They pronounced it Glen-mor-on-gee.

I love that one. It's the one I bought at the border, when we went there for your eye surgery, Princess. I didn't think you liked it much.

I like it with the Port cask finish, myself.
The name is a composite Gaelic/Scots word:
Glen-Mor(big)-Angie
In other words it comes from "big glen Angie"

Keep in mind it was my first experience with scotch. I've matured. It does have the ability to make my mouth taste like I've been smoking some ciggies though.
It's quite a large bottle. I might be willing to spare a glass sometime.
I have more than half a bottle of Glenlivet and an entire liter of Laphroaig, it's going to be a good long time before I'm in the market for another. I'll try the Glenmorangie next.
