Very interesting topic. I tend to agree with what they said on the radio, Princess. Of course we are affected by our past, but we can overcome abuse, neglect, poverty, and many other things, including the religion we all shared.
I know I changed dramatically when we stopped being JW's. Everyone said I went through a huge personality transformation. It felt good too. I know I am basically the same person, but I sure came out of my shell.
This subject reminds me of my favorite line from "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"..............."don't let being Greek define who you are, but let it enhance who you will become."
