One of my cats loves soap, for whatever reason she finds it a tasty great right after her Natural Choice Seafood Mix. She'll hop onto the bathroom counter and lick the bar of soap several times. Right now I've got a honey-glycerin bar but I think she prefers the green apple scented one. My other cat, lovable as she is, is too dumb to figure out any other non-feline food sources. She's almost ten and still isn't sure the fridge is where her can of food comes from most of the time.

Oh SS, that is so cute. We have two female cats, and one of them absolutely loves hand lotion. We noticed that she smelled like hand lotion??? Then we caught her in the act and learned that she is quite adept at actually pumping it up and out of the bottle, so once we figured out what she was doing, we keep them put higher than she can reach. (If only we could have had the camera out and got a picture of her using the pump...we could have been on those incredible videos show for sure.)

If she gets whiff of me using the hand or body lotion, she comes running, and is very lovable, while at the same time, trying to lick it off my hands! She gets quite angry when I make her stop. I've had lots of cats for pets through my life and I've never had one do this.

I love very much creatures of everykind. Cats are my favourite, I concider myself a cat expert. I have raise over 40 some cats and I can tell you that in no way are any two alike. They each have their own characteristics. There antics would leave me rolling on the floor in laughter with them. Acouple of them loved t o play hockey . I would take a cap for a bottle of beer and we would play hockey they used their paws and would hit it to me an I did the same to them. They are very unique in their own little ways. I have seen the births of many kittens and i never tired of watching the beauty of them from their moment of birth and how as the mom would clean them they no sooner sqrimming into her nipples for a feast of milk and as she would wash each one they would start from birth hitting each others bodies with their paws, trying to seek out her nipples for a drink and many times they would get so frustrated at each other it was so comical watching each of them trying to get to one tite, not realizing of course mommy has eight. Each day was a knew challange for them. but one of the most wonderful things I enjoyed was how they all finishe eating and fighting and then they all snuggle together their little furballs brought tears to my eyes all the time. One of my girls acturally she was the Queen cat and we had a real bond. I could in fact talk to her and I would swear on a stack of Bibles that she was trying to talk back. We had an inseprable bond, she would follow me all around and talk to me. And I got to the point were I knew what she was wanting. During her three pregnancies, she was even more at my side day and night. I always knew when her kittens were ready to come, she would jump up beside and curl around my face and neck and start talking to me and I would say to her is it time for the baby kittes and she would meow. She did this little dance on the bed. and she would get down from the bed and go to where she had all her litters, in my closet in a dark area, In fact she knew it was her spot, as she got closer to having the babies she would go to the closet and look up at me and say something. I would open the closet for her and she would stay curled up for hours. I made is so that she had a part of the closet to herself I would box in an area and but towels and blanket around it and she would sleep there most of the time towards the time of her having the kittens. When it was time for them to be born she jumped up on the bed and talked and meowed and would go straight to the closet and she would not go into the closet until I was on the floor and was right there for the birth of each kitten and through each contraction when it was painful I would rub her and assure her she was a good mommie and she would talk and meow and push and this went on until all the kitten s were born, she didn't want me to leave. My son Richard was so happy when he saw her babies being born. Now her litter was all clean and had a drink and she would pull the towel over the babies and would come out of the closet for a drink and food, but if she so much as heard a sound or mew from her kittens she was right back in there, laying back down and letting the babies snuggle. She was the most beautiful cat I ever owned. I miss her so very much. I had to have her adopted out to a good home and the people that handled her adoption said that the people who have her have never seen or known of a cat to have such intelligence. I would tell the lady that handled all my cat adoptions something special about each one of the cats. I cried and cried when I would give them away. But the lady always would telll me how much they enjoyed my kats.

Two of my other cats were totally devoted to each other. The female would disappear for a day and come to the back bedroom window and would meow until the other cat was on the ledge and I would look on the ground and each day she brought her brother, food, hotdogs and one day she brought home a huge steak and birds and mice. And she would insist her brother go outside my bedroom window and would come and eat what she brought him. This went on for a year or more until they were placed together as they were inseparable. , you see just across the back field of our townhouse there was a grogery store and I think see would crawl into the food bin and bring the food home . It was totally amazing. I could go on and on about my beauties. But alas I can't.Cat 6 Cat 3 Cat 11 Cat 12 Cat 13 Cat 15 Cat 17 Black Cat Black Cat .

I would like to share my stories of my little girls squirells and chipmunks. They make you laugh and cry. One day my little squierll girl she would come on my hand all the time for her peanuts and way one morning her paws were wet and it had been raining so she seen me coming out and I opened my hand for her morning peanuts and she was so excited that morning she took a bite out of my finger. Well I told her she was a bad girl and not to grab, I am sure she understood and she come back after burying hers nut and she was alot more at ease and sat and ate it up and this was a daily routine and the people who run our seniors building tore down their homes in the trees and I was so upset and pissed beyond belief as I know they chopped that tree down because of the family of baby raccoons and the squirrels. Because they housing said the tree was dead and when they chopped it down there was so little dead part I was rip roaring mad. You see some of the senior citizens in our building are abunch of old maids and uptight that they hated me to feeding all the animals and reported me and I said its a free country to do as I please and I am not hurting anyone. I said if the grouches down in the lobbie get a life they would leave me a lone and it was just shortly after this that they cut down the huge tree. like saying to me haw haw we'll stop you from feeding the creatures. How vicious people are. Not the animal but people are so cruel. Well during this summer I only saw my little girls a few times. So I would feed them if they came around. I always carried a pocket full of nuts. But their visits were not that often this summer on account of the tree being cut down.

Well I am sad about it but can't do a thing about it and Marco says he knows how sensitive I am about life and he told me that when we move we will find a new family of squirrels and chippys.SquirrelSquirrelTreeAcornTree 3SquirrelAcorn

Anyway I will go now have a great eveing everyone .

Those are great stories. I was present at the birthing of a small litter at one job i did. A year later, when i worked there again, i saw the one remaining kitten, now a yr old. He was beautiful. The owner had taught him to sit up and put his paws together like a hindu person does his hands, and then move them up and down, like it was doing a hindu prayer. We laughed our heads off.

The mother cat was chasing him away, at that time, and the lady offered him to me. I hesitated, as i already had one. Then, he dissappeared. Hunting the neighborhood, i didn't find any flat cats on the roads. We hope that he found a good home.

Eh...we have a cat...he's a total pain in the ass...always begging for food, scratching at the door to be let in from the cold, chasing our parakeets...jumping up on my lap and demanding attention!

And Kate just flea-dusted him...he smells great!

    We love that little bugger.
