I'd love to come but if you make it the 24th of June I'll be sunning myself down the road at Glastonbury, that's assuming that the new job hasn't sent me to the outer hebrides for training (Queensferry IS that far isn't it?)

will do if I can, like I said glasto will cover the end of June but the week before I should be able to get there.
So how far north are the hebrides? Mrs SLH and I are going to a wedding in Edinburgh at the end of may and are spending a week going to Loch ness, Fort William and a few places round and about. Anything you would say was a 'do not miss'?

SLH:
To get to the Hebrides from Edinburgh you drive three hours North (to Inverness) then an hour West (to Ullapool). You then catch a three hour ferry to Stornoway, in the Isle of Lewis, and you've just got to the near edge.
Welcome to my world!!!
LOLAs for mainland Scotland, you have a nice route, there, though you are only brushing the Highlands.
I recommend Loch Ness and Edinburgh Castle (which is a little expensive, but worth going into).
Fort William is notoriously wet - LOL - but nonetheless, the surrounding countryside (including "Ben Nevis" - the highest hill in Britain) is beautiful. If you can't manage the Fest, then we should at least get our heads together and meet up somewhere along the route. Maybe some of the other Scots would like to join us, too.
Edited to say:
I don't miss Termite.

I've got a brilliant idea!
Why don't we also go out on the following day. For lunch maybe, as it's a Sunday.
We could go to Glastonbury. It's less than half an hours drive from my pad.
We could have lunch in a pub, see the old town and abbey, do the Arthur thing, maybe find the Holy Grail!
