I know JWS who will say the same thing about the WTS. They sincerely believe they are free to chose and think, but they aren't. Do the LDS have a web site? Some JWS do not know what all the JWS teach. As to the 7th day adventists, i read on their web site they practice DF,or similar words. I was surprised to see it. What does your offical doctrine teach? Also, are the people who are XMormons just malcontents?
I'm not asking to be surly, i really want to know.
Mormons don't practice shunning in the same way that those who "simply leave the [Jehovah's Witness] faith are not shunned."

they sound so much like JWS itis scary.
I commincate with an XChurch of christ and she tells of a similar story, of an abusive husband and going to the church leaders for help and being advised to "be obedient " and all that. she was shunned by her church when she left.
But Mulan.......I hear they are going to let Mormon women have more than one husband soon. You'd like that wouldn't ya?

I really don't care how many people have told you they THINK we do, or that they KNOW we do because some friend of a friend of a third cousin said she once heard from her neighbor of someone being shunned by us. It's simply not true. People may choose to leave us, and that is their right. The door is always right where you left it when you came in, so you are free to go out the same way, and good luck and God bless, we wish you every happiness and if we can ever be of assistance, please don't hesitate to call. (We love being called to help them, actually.)
I see Mormons practice Theocratic Warfare, too.
From reading Susan's Mormon defence, it seems to me she is saying "Well, we're not as bad as the dubs!" Not a very good line of defence, IMO.
While on holidays at my sister-in-law's house, we got hit - twice - in one day. First the Mormon girls. I kept the screen door closed and explained I was a houseguest. I told them I was not interested. Nothing daunted this girl in her schpiel. An invitation card with a lovely Christmas tree on it was flashed at me several times. I again said I was not interested. Bla bla bla. I finally walked away from the door. She eventually went away.
Then the JW girl came by with an Awake. I must say she was a lot quieter, but sneaky. The boy answered it this time. She told him to give daddy the Awake because his daddy really likes to read them. Daddy is a beer guzzling, deer hunting, bearded biker dude. Yup. Yup. Yup. He could hardly wait for this month's issue.
Later that day I was accosted at Costco for an Executive membership card. Salesmanship overkill.
One time while I was a pioneer a couple of Mormons can by. And so yea, i made my pionts they made theirs, It was like two dogs chasing each others tails.
Are Mormons and JWs alike? IMO YES! Or else I wouldnt have wasted 2 hours of my life going in a dead circle. Thank God I left the Borg!
