What Stood Out The Most To You On This Board In 2003?

Well I joined the board this year after lurking for ages -- then I became a Junior Member, then a Senior Member then a Jedi - I made one or two faux-pas in the beginning but I think I am beginning to mature -- noticed there are a lot of nice, intelligent and beautiful people here -- and I decided to stay (trying my best not to hit on them/flirt with some of the women.)

And that minimus. is memorable to me!!

What stood out the most to myself, and will always stand out, are posters stories of coming out.

That would include you Minimus, as well as the stories of Dansk, Winston Smith, Shotgun, Stillajwexelder, and others.

Though the stories are painful, they are riveting, and the outpouring of encouragement, and helpful information from previous exiters, is indeed positive proof of "love of neighbour"

Well, I joined here almost 1 year ago.

It has been an interesting journey to put it mildly.

I have been intrigued by a number of posts, some I cannot recall the names, but generally speaking I'll simply put my 2 or 3 cents worth.

Anything related to Vicki Boer's case is/was always intriguing and informative, especially all the buzz about the CBC's Fifth Estate program. That was phenominal! That opened up many peoples eyes.

Well, the Apostafest threads, always fun to read, and finally attending my first ever one in Detroit, last September was excellent! Also the one here in Toronto in November, that was great (we got to meet Vicki too).

Cruzanheart's thread about her father. But when her daughter Jennie posted a bit about her grandfather, I bawled (honestly). That was timely considering my best pal died only weeks before.

Fun posts: DOODLE-V's 'scary food' thread, had me in complete hysterics (laughing) and well, it made my night when I read it, I was teeheeing for hours. Thanks Doodle-V.

Spark: he doesn't post here anymore, but he used to bust me up something fierce. I'm sure he and his wife are well over there in Britain, but I sure miss him. SPARK: you rocked!!

The Secret Santa, was a great thread, and it brought many of us members to this forum, a little closer together. Thanks Gadget!!

There are many, and I'm sure if I were to read some more of what was posted or will be posted, I'm sure it'll jog my memory.

This week will be my 1 year anniversary on this forum.

    Thanks everyone.

The Dancin' M&M was "put on restrictions for conduct unbecoming" a JWD forum member. Simon knows how to make Minimus dance but he's annoyed by the wiggle.

What has stood out for me lately is the number of new ones who have come here just since the summer conventions. Seems to me that a lot of people are walking away now.

A year eh Ray? Wow seems like you are one of the old gang and have been here for a lot longer.

What no cookbooks mentioned!!!? I think it was just awesome how people contributed to the making of these books. They would not have happened without those who contributed.
