On studying the Bible in the past and learning Watchtower's definitions of false doctrine, I have been able to reason now when I compare these teachings to be anti Christian. I read another post that listed all of their articles that make the "trinity" of Jehovah, his Word and the Organiztion. After viewing the articles listed it made me feel how against Christ they really are, even though they give lip service to him. Comparing thier view of Jehovah, his Word and Spirit, and his Organization, (which doesn't even mention Christ), I am more inclined to believe in the Christian teaching of the Trinity. So one of the ways I feel Watchtower is Anti Christ, is that it has substituted the Organization as mankinds only mediator between God and man.

In the Christian Greek Scriptures, the Anti-Christ is described as not supporting the fact of Christ coming in the flesh (second time)....if I remember correctly, the Greek word is "erkhomenon" which translates as "coming", not "having come" as the Gnu-Whirled Translation depicts. Ergo, since the WT-BATS insists that Christ's second coming will be in spirit only, not in the flesh....VOILA! They are indeed the Anti-Christ....according to their own deceptive translations.

question what you are taught ......... only just so long as you don't question what comes from the GB

but this just makes them a false religion, not necessarily the antichrist. Personally I think they would be part of babylon the great, if it wasn't all the figment of a drug addled mind

    ARoarer:

Here is a post I made on this topic not too long ago. I believe it applies here as well.

You bring up a great question. After coming to this board, I've noticed a lot of people asking that question, really wanting to know one way or another about the existence of God. I've seen some who are hopeful for his existence, and I've seen some down right deny his existence. I think it is another commonality of the people of this board to go through a phase of thinking this through. I have to say, it kind of surprised me to see this because I naively thought that anyone who had come from being a JW realized the "need" for God in their life, and upon leaving, would automatically be seeking him and would choose Christianity. Boy! Was I wrong! But through reading the posts in here, I've come to believe a few things that may or not be true, but fit within my own world view. Here's my two cents:

I personally believe in the God of the Christian Bible and in Satan of the Christian Bible.

I believe that God allows Satan to rule this earth until the return of his son, Jesus Christ.

I believe God never promised us our lives would be rosy or easy, only that he would be there to help ease our suffering on earth while Satan rules it. Even the Apostle Paul speaks of and glorifies suffering.

I know that the WTBTS has it's roots in the occult and relies heavily on "theocratic warfare" when it is their only way "out" of sticky situations. The definition of "theocratic warfare" is plain and simple: it means "lying through one's teeth in order to perpetuate other lies." And who does the Bible say is the father of lies? Satan. So, we have occult and we have lies. Therefore, I believe the WTBTS is not lead by God (Jehovah), but by Satan.

I know that Satan was the angel of light, so therefore, he can appear as "light" to those who are really in darkness. So, if he can appear as "light", then he can appear as "Jehovah" to those who have been "tricked" into believing he is Jehovah.

I believe that Witnesses were unwittingly mislead by Satan into believing he was Jehovah, and when Witnesses were hurt in "his" name, it drove an even deeper wedge between them and the real God because they became so angry with Jehovah for not being there for them when the chips were down, that many abandoned belief in any God altogether. I believe this is Satan's ultimate triumph because it's a win-win situation for him. First, he "tricks" people into unknowingly believing in his organization, (or sub-organization) and then, when they leave and don't want anything to do with the real God, he still wins because if they are not a part of the real God's organization, they are STILL part of Satan's larger organization!

I believe this makes the real God in Heaven, and our Lord Jesus Christ very sad indeed because he wants to have a personal relationship with each and every one of us.

I know that my life has changed TREMENDOUSLY since I stopped fighting God and accepted him into my life. I don't have so many quesstions, and I don't feel like there are few satisfying answers even though I am going through the hardest time in my whole life right now, and that ain't no joke. But I don't feel defeated and I don't feel depressed like I was before I invited him into my life.

Just so you know, the last thing I am trying to do is "cram" my beliefs down anyone's throat, nor am I saying that my beliefs regarding Witnesses is the absolute answer. I am simply answering your post from my own experience, and hope that I've been able to help you in some small way, whether you share my beliefs or not.

    Good luck in your search.

Here is a post I made a while ago, too. It sums up why I think they are the anti-Christ:

I think 'unconditional love' is one of the cruelest hoaxes Satan has perpetrated

Ok, so unconditional love is from Satan.

    AND:

Most good people will NOT go to heaven.

It is NOT sad when someone dies (resurrection, don't ya know)

You should NOT partake of the Bread and the Wine.

It is a GOOD thing when an nonJW dies (Because then he could be resurrected after the big 'A')

You SHOULD be judgmental toward people, especially your brothers and sisters in the faith.

Sports and after school activities are BAD for your kids.

    Black is white.

    Up is down.

    Bad is good.

It is like JWs live in OPPOSITE world. Lets see, what is the opposite of 'God's religion'?

Oh and I hate the term 'agape' love. According to these posts, 'agape' love is NOTHING AT ALL. It is like 'agape' = 'social politeness'. That's not love. That's fake BS. When ever someone says that it, is like they are saying, "I don't love you, but I do 'agape' you, just like I 'agape' my worst enemy because the Bible says to!'' Wow, thanks.

Yeah, Watchtower is very much like Satan. In many ways. Once I was thinking about the conversation between Satan and Eve in the Bible account in Genesis. Satan told Eve if she disobeyed God she would "positively not die". Watchtower promises this to millions of gullible "Eve-like" ones. In doing so they are encouraged to take on a "fleshly" view of life, where Jesus focused on a spiritual view.

They are not anti-christ. They have dedicated a book about him and preach of his rulership and kingdom.

Why people say they are anti.....is because they have distorted his message, and not given him the importance the scripture's do. He is usually only given the credit as "our prime example" in obediance, and faithfulness.

I think anti-christ is a bit strong for imputing that to the witnesses.

As far as the REST of the N.T.....other than the gospels.......they totally blow his (supposed message).....which is 'grace through faith'. That does not even enter their thoughts or lips.

I suppose were Christ for real, and was to speak to them today, he would definately re-adjust their thinking.......but I don't think he would cast off the rank and file as anti-christ

Wt is anti christ in the following ways, in addition to those already pointed to:

    1. Tells people they are not allowed in jesus covenant

    2. Tells people not to partake of bread and wine

    3. Tells people that jesus is not savior of all

    4. Portrays jesus as waiting to execute all mankind, except dubs

    5. Has changed nt to direct attention away from jesus

    6. Has preached a 'different gospel' than the jesus gospel of first century

    7. Doesn't do miracles as jesus commanded his followers

gumby, I disagree that Anti-Christ is a little strong in describing WT. Thier teachings are oposite of what Christ taught. Even thier book about him is inaccurate. They are just as much Anti-Christ as those they accuse of being Anti-Christ.

SaintSatan you sum up much of what I wanted to say
