Hi Blondie, In fact, when he was going to propose to her, seated right next to them was 2 JWs chaperoning the soon to be married couple (seperate tables thank GOD). So no romantic dinners by themselves, Funny thing was....this was a 'couples restuarant'....and the two men chaperoning were perceived or past up as a 'gay couple'. I couldnt stop laughing. Apparently, everyone was looking at the 2 'gay' JWS. It got so bad....the next time the waiter came to the table, one of the guys had to say "yes, we are not gay, we are just chaperoning for table 59" hahahaha!!!! Frantically Insane Andy
btw, what was the previous age rules regarding child baptism?
i've never known a rule regaurding age, as long as you can competently answer the drilling (questions) they will allow a youngster to be baptized in the jw/wtbts publishing company inc.
just how young have i personally seen with my own eyes?
8 tender years old.
I wonder if there are any brothers and sisters at that convention who were there when they said, millions now living will never die?
I have a question here. Jesus, who was perfect, did not get baptized until he was in his 30's. Now if Bible principle was applied, can they really baptize an 11 yo boy? And really make him live up to it? I mean, I know that they do, but is that really right? I guess I am thinking out loud here. It just seems wrong.
Life-long Witness Nathan Wood, of Bulli, said part of the reason for holding the convention in Sydney (apart from having a venue suitable to hold all the delegates) was to dispel myths about the faith.
Nathan Wood is actually a local TV News personality in Wollongong, so this is hardly a R&F Dub being interviewed from among the crowd. FWIW, he was quite kind to me when I met him at a Dub meeting.
I think that is totally ridiculous to baptize an 11 yr.old. OHh and that we only do bible based thing is another joke . This is all classic mind control , they even have the media eating out of their hands . There is more to christianity than just answering a bunch of questions the way someone trains you too. IMO

This makes a very good point.....it has happened where youngsters have suffered DF, shunning and loss of family at a very tender age. One here resulted in a suicide.

To the criminal being crucified alongside Jesus, Jesus promised him that he would be with him in paradise..................yet he was never baptised.

Ozziepost,
Thank you for your post. You have no idea how much that one point really means to me. Thanks again.
