An exchange with a JW about the blood doctrine.

Giles Gray - "I think the Watchtower is stuck with this doctrine. If they were to step back from that position now, and make their stand on blood a conscience issue, the lawsuits against them would be overwhelming. I believe that they know their position on blood is incorrect but they need to maintain that stance for fear of litigation."

That's partly it, but I also think an even bigger reason is that reversing it is tantamount to admitting they were wrong to have it in the first place...

...and they'd rather gargle with broken glass.

You're welcome Jan. Thank you for taking the time to read my comments.

Let's hope the JW gets back to me soon. The exchange should prove interesting.

Vidiot- "..and they'd rather gargle with broken glass."

    How nicely put...

cofty stopped posting about four months ago, saying :

"I can't no longer be part of the irrational and hateful environment that has come to dominate this forum."

I have gathered much on the subject over the years:

    https://jwstudies.com/blood.html

These appear on that page and might be helpful:

As you say, every medical procedure carries risks, and one should never promote or deny a procedure based on ancient mythologies. The decision must be made by those qualified to make it.
