    I think JWs? and some Christians believe that Daniel’s symbology contains a reference to a Medo-Persian empire. However, if I’m not mistaken, according to historians an amalgamated Medo-Persian empire never existed.

    Barely half of them count as 'empires' in any meaningful sense, and certainly not world powers, not by any stretch.

    When i was in the JW cult, I was continuously brainwashed that these were the World powers: I felt so proud memorizing it and vomiting it often

    BABYLON, MEDO-PERSIA,GREECE,ROMAN AND ANGLO-AMERICAN WORLD POWERS

    IS there any historical proof for this. Is there anything such as a World Power or is this Just a WT cook up ? What does World power actually mean in a general context and in WT context.

    I think it's done to subtly (and maybe not so subtly) reinforce the idea that True Christians are a beleaguered underdog that'd be crushed under the terrifyingly powerful heel of Satan's cruel World any minute now, if they were't protected by their special status as God's Earthly Organization...
